Guide to selecting your diamond Diamond Image
Tapper's wants to make your diamond buying experience a positive one. We know that buying a diamond for the first time, or any time, can seem like an overwhelming task especially with the amount of information available. Allow us to assist you, and earn your trust, when you make this most important purchase.
There are four characteristics that determine the quality of a diamond
Cut Clarity Carat Color
Of the 4C's, cut is the only one directly influenced by humans. The other 3 are dictated by nature. The cut, or make, of a diamond will influence its brilliance. Line Diamonds have identifying characteristics which establish their identity and quality. The less visible the characteristics are, the more rare the diamond will be. Line As with all precious gems, the weight of a diamond is expressed in carats. The word carat orginated in a natural unit of weight, the seeds of the carob tree. Line Although the majority of gem diamonds appear to be colorless to the untrained eye, there are subtle differences in shades of color.
