Gary Dixon has been designing jewelry since he took a college course in metal-smithing at Cal State. Raised in California, Gary made his way to Michigan in order to complete a Master of Fine Arts degree at the prestigious Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, the only graduate program in the country devoted solely to fine arts education.
Gary believes that his personality, to some degree, directed his artistic expression. “I’m very analytical,” he comments, “and the precious metals I work with present a harder medium, a very concrete material.”
