In 1833 Antoine LeCoultre established his tiny watch-making workshop in Le
Sentier, Switzerland, where today, the components for these exceptional watches
are still made, hand-finished and assembled. Despite being an extremely
time-consuming way of making watches, this method allows the master watch-makers
to express their craft by finishing and decorating each detail of the watch to
perfection. In 1903, Jacques-David LeCoultre partnered with chronometer-maker
Edmond Jaeger, opening the way into the luxury market for LeCoultre & Co. It
was then that the company took the name Jaeger-LeCoultre, a name that soon
became synonymous with finely crafted watch-making. Inspired by a polo match,
the concept for Jaegers most famous watch-making innovation, the Reverso, was
born in 1931. A wristwatch with a swivel case that turned its back to provide
protection from shocks to the delicate mineral glass of the original
Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces, the beauty of the Reverso watch has remained
essentially unchanged for more than 70 years. To view the complete line,
