For over 45 years, Tapper's has been the premier destination for luxury jewelry and watches in Michigan. In that time, we've seen a lot of changes—including a lot of people in need. That's why we're proud to provide coats, hats, gloves, boots to over 20 different charities each winter.

2021 marked the celebration of our 30th annual coat drive. We call it the Tapper's Annual Share the Warmth Coat Drive, and it's a chance to give back. Coats are collected at any of our locations from October through November, and donations to buy brand new winter coats can be made on tappers.com.

It all started back in 1977 when Tapper's founder Howard Tapper saw a need in the community. He decided to collect coats every year, becoming a beloved tradition. Since then, we've collected over 70,000 coats! Our customers are always happy to share their gently-used but well-cared-for coats for those in need—and it feels great knowing that these jackets will keep someone warm throughout the winter months.

This year, we want to do even more. With your help, we can make sure Metro Detroiters stay warm during the coldest months of the year.
